Housing Residence Hall Student Access
For University Housing residence hall building keys and prox card access, students must contact their Housing Service Center, located where their mail and packages are received.
Specifics
- Visit the ID Card Services Office on the ground floor of the Erb Memorial Student Union (EMU) to receive a UO ID Card.
- ID Card Services Office hours are 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday.
- Card access requests are processed daily.
- There is no fee for prox access.
- Cards that haven't been used in the last 365 days will automatically expire.
Card Access Authorized Requester
- Departments and academic units must designate who is authorized to request access into their spaces for students, faculty members, staff, and other affiliates of the UO.
- Access requests will only be processed when submitted by the designated employees.
- Submit the authorization form before submitting card access request:
- Request this form by emailing keyaccess@uoregon.edu;
- Fill it out completely with required signatures;
- Return by either campus mail to Vanessa Abbott, ID Card Services, ground floor EMU, or scan and email back to keyaccess@uoregon.edu; and
- Update the authorization form as changes occur.
Requesting Access
- For every change to a user's access, the online form must be submitted.
- Use the form below to request access for student, staff, faculty member, or affiliates of the UO.
- Fill out completely and submit.
- A confirmation email will be sent for your records.
- Once the access is processed, another email will be sent.
Emergency Requests
- Please contact the access control program specialist at keyaccess@uoregon.edu.
- Examples of emergencies:
- Terminated employees who leave on hostile terms
- Access to labs which house animals or time-sensitive experiments
