EMU Advisory Board

The Erb Memorial Union Advisory Board represents student and other stakeholder interests and concerns regarding administrative decisions relative to the EMU. Specifically, the purpose of the EMU Advisory Board is to ensure that the EMU remains a student-centered space by providing advice and feedback, participating in long-range planning, and serving as stewards for the EMU and its legacy of service to students since it opened in 1950.

The advisory board consists of seven students (two at-large, five direct appointments from EMU programs and services, and one appointment by the vice president of Student Life), and three non-voting, ex-officio members (EMU director or designee, and two staff appointed by the director).

Being a member of the EMU Advisory Board provides students with the opportunity to work closely with EMU staff on a diverse set of issues, such as policy making, budgeting, and program development.
