Student Staff Team

The Mills International Center has a student staff team of about fifteen students from all around the world—from Eugene to the Himalayas. Positions may include resource consultants, Language Circles coordinators, event coordinators, public relations manager, graphic designer, and finance manager.

Mills student staff can help you with your cultural experiences too. With identities from around the world and training in all things intercultural, they are here to help you make sense of the world.

Hiring

Thank you for your interest in student employment at the Mills International Center. We are not currently hiring. When we hire, we typically post the position on Handshake for two weeks and send an announcement to the listserv and anyone who has submitted a résumé. You can send your résumé to bghimire@uoregon.edu for future opportunities. To apply, we will ask for a résumé and written responses to application questions. (The University Career Center is a great resource for résumé, application, and interview coaching.)

Mills International Center is a meeting place for international and US students and community members. We create opportunities for students to connect and learn about themselves and the world. It is the detailed, creative, and reliable work of Mills student staff that makes it all possible. We have high expectations of our staff, and we offer high support, with lots of training and ongoing professional development.

Achieving our mission begins with bringing together a team of people of different origins, beliefs, backgrounds, skills, and ways of thinking. The Mills Center strives for a humane and productive work environment for all staff, where they feel respected and connected, their perspective is valued, they can learn from mistakes, share responsibility for fostering the Mills community, and contribute to the work of the Mills Center.
