Everything You Need
Centrally located, the EMU provides everything you might need between classes. It's designed to complement the college life; food, money, printing, student groups, event tickets, a wellness center, and comfy chairs galore.
For after-hours service or questions about the EMU, please call guest services.
EMU Guest Services is a one-stop spot to learn what's happening. Not sure where to go? We'll point you in the right direction. If you've lost or found an item, or have a question about campus or the community, stop by the O-Desk on the ground floor of the EMU. You can also call us at 541-346-4163.
UO Scheduling and Event Services facilitates planning and support for non-academic use of university facilities and out-of-door space on campus. We provide services and equipment for a wide variety of cultural, educational, and recreational activities, enabling campus and community organizations to produce successful events.
The UO Card Office provides UO photo ID cards and badges for students, faculty, staff, and departments. It also oversees Duck Bucks, the university’s debit card program.
Drop by the Duck Nest for a quiet break between classes, attend our free workshops, or join us when therapy dogs visit. Peer Wellness Advocates are available to help you cultivate positive habits and healthy coping strategies for college life and beyond.
Your UO ID card can be used as a debit card for purchases on campus simply by depositing funds your Duck Bucks account. You can use Duck Bucks to purchase food, craft center materials, and more. Printing and copying services in computer labs and libraries can only be paid for with Duck Bucks. Find out how to deposit funds and other FAQs below.
As a sales outlet for Ticketmaster, TicketsWest, the Hult Center, and a number of local venues, the Ticket Office provides access to several thousand events a year throughout Oregon, Washington, and California. Other services include: digital passport and ID photos, Duck Bucks deposit site, LTD bus passes and monthly passes, fax sending services, yearly key checkout for EMU student offices, and event cashier for student groups presenting fundraising events and activities on campus.
Formerly Campus Copy, this service hub serves dual purposes. On the print side, it's the campus presence of Print Services, allowing faculty, staff, and students to submit print orders, check out paper samples, review proofs, and pick up finished orders. The hub also features a self-service printer that accepts credits cards. In the same space, the staff of the Technology Service Desk can help students, faculty, and staff with their accounts, email, and a wide range of software and devices. The hub also offers classroom equipment checkout.
The EMU Computer Lab contains computers and printers available for use by current UO students, faculty, and staff with a Duck ID login. You can also configure your laptop to print to the lab printers.
The Lost and Found service at the EMU is for items lost in and around the EMU only. Call the O-Desk at 541-346-4163. All other items and inquiries should be directed to the Parking and Transportation Office at Franklin and Walnut Streets.
ASUO Student Legal Services provides free advice to incidental fee paying students regarding many off-campus issues including landlord/tenant, criminal, traffic, car accidents, family and consumer matters.
The Student Advocacy Program provides information and support to students and student groups who are involved in a dispute with the university. Situations may involve behavioral issues, violations of the student code of conduct, housing violations, or financial aid. Legal advice, counsel, and direct support is also available to students who are respondents in matters pertaining to their conduct as a student, such as academic misconduct, substance abuse misconduct, general misconduct, discriminatory misconduct (except cases related to Title IX), and cases involving violence or harm to others.
The Oregon Daily Emerald is the UO's independent student newspaper that serves as a forum for news and opinion, and as a student voice for the entire university community. All editors and reporters are students. They also strive to train UO students in every aspect of newspaper publication.
The Moss Street Children's Center provides high-quality developmental child care services to UO students, faculty, and staff. Our mission is to support UO student parents by providing care for their children while they attend classes while also providing employment opportunities and training in child care to student staff.
The User Support Services–Administrative team (part of USS in Information Services) provides tech support for the UO's administrative units. This team currently doesn't have a drop-in service desk. However, some faculty or staff may be asked to visit the office for scheduled visits.
