Remote Programs

There are a number of ways to connect with the EMU programs while we are remote. Check out the opportunties we offer from each program or visit our EMU Programs page for events. Note: availability of remote programs is subject to change.

Center for Student Involvement

The Center for Student Involvement is working on many activities for fall. At this time CSI is planning for mostly “normal” in-person events. When feasible, events will also include a virtual option. All events will be listed on the UO calendar including virtual events. Please check the UO calendar for specific event details.

Club Sports

Even though many of our teams had their seasons cut short and the office is currently closed, the Club Sports administrative staff continues to work and is available remotely to support students in whatever way we can. Current officers and participants can reach out directly to any of the staff members and we’ll make sure to get you the answers and information you need. Email clbsprts@uoregon.edu to connect.

Craft Center

The Craft Center has returned to normal on-site operations. We are still providing takeaway Craft Kits for those who prefer remote activities. Follow us @uocraftcenter on Facebook and Instagram for Craft Kit releases, tutorials, inspiration, and interactive fun!

The Ducks Variety Show

The Ducks Variety Show is a brand-new student engagement program, airing every Saturday at 7:00 p.m. on the EMU YouTube Channel. Each week will feature exciting segments where you can participate—Tell Me Something Good, Ten Second Talents, Duck Challenge, and trivia. We will also present professional entertainment from around the world.

Esports Program

The Esports program will be offering several tournaments this term open to students, staff, faculty, and alumni (must have uoregon.edu email to be eligible). The Esports website, Discord Server, and Twitter have information to sign-up, posted rules, prize information, and more. DuckTV Esports will be broadcasting some rounds.

KWVA

KWVA is your source for music, news, and sports 24/7/365. You can access programming anytime by tuning in on a radio at 88.1FM in the Eugene/Springfield community or online from anywhere in the world at kwva.uoregon.edu/listen-live. Students and community members continue to produce contently remotely during this time and will soon have limited air staff back in the studio for live programs.

Moss Street

Moss Street Children’s Center continues to support the various administrative functions to serve families, staff, and student staff at this time. They are providing remote early childhood programs that includes much of what they provide onsite. Some of those services include, individualized curriculum and weekly parent check-ins, weekly newsletter with resources and activities, group activities on their YouTube channel, parenting workshops, and more.

Outdoor Programs

The Outdoor Programs team continues to offer a number of ways to stay connected. Monday how-to videos, Wednesday environmental issues, Friday is weekend movie time, and many more activities beyond those. Follow us on social to learn more and connect with us. @uo_outdoorprogram

Student Sustainability Center

The Student Sustainability Center team is working to produce video guides to local parks and outdoor spaces to connect students with the beautiful outdoors. Other events like virtual SNAP enrollment, drop in support for feed the flock, gardening videos, and more can be found on social media. If you would like to volunteer in the Grove Garden on campus, we have arranged for students to volunteer. If you volunteer, you will be able to take a share of the crops.
