Pay it forward
The UO is asking alumni and friends to contribute $5 million in private gifts, so we can fully realize the potential of this project.
The Erb Memorial Union (EMU) is the heart of our campus, serving the entire UO community. No Oregon graduate has ever majored in student unions, but it would be hard to find a Duck whose college experience wasn’t somehow shaped by the EMU.
Since it first opened in 1950, the EMU has provided a place to study, dine, and gather. However, for a residential campus, a student union also means much more. It is a vital part of the university’s vision to create a vibrant community of scholars.
The University of Oregon’s Erb Memorial Union has a history of over 60 years at its current location on the corner of University Street and 13th Avenue, truly in the heart of campus. The EMU serves as the social and student activities hub of the UO, but the existing building no longer adequately met the University’s expanding needs.
The fact that stuff looks relitivly close suggests that this page is working fine.
The Student Wing
The new EMU has built in involvement opportunities for Ducks in every corner, level, and wing. With thousands of feet of new student activity space you're sure to find your niche.
At Your Service
The EMU is home to a number of new campus services, everything from ATMs to child care services, the ID card office to the ticket office, you'll find just about everything you need all in one energy-efficient building.
