| The African Students Association is dedicated to the educating the UO community about the different cultures that comprise the African continent and to foster the appreciation of African culture and related customs. We also provide a network of support for African students and organize campus events pertaining to Africa.

| The Chinese Student Association was established by a group of passionate students who wanted to help new Taiwanese students feel comfortable at the UO. We coordinate academic, social, and cultural activities with the goal of improving understanding of Chinese culture.

| The European Student Association Provides a support network for European students and promotes European culture through events and activities. We also strive to make UO European students more visible by incorporating new activities into the ESA schedule each year that encourages more students to get involved.

| The Hong Kong Student Association serves as a support base for Hong Kong students at the UO and helps them adjust to the American culture and lifestyle. We plan cultural events for the entire campus to enjoy and strive to promote understanding and tolerance of people from all over the world.

| The International Student Association represents approximately 1,600 international students at the UO from over 90 different countries. In order to foster a friendly social atmosphere, the ISA organizes the International Coffee Hour every Friday from 4-6pm in the International Lounge. This function creates opportunities for both international and American students to interact freely over a cup of coffee.

| Kultura Philipinas, the Philippine Student Association at the UO, promotes education and understanding of Filipino culture, history and traditions. We also serve the community in the numerous forms such as the Eugene Asian Celebration, Children's Story Telling and our Annual Culture Night.

| The Mills International Center is designed to serve the entire UO community, with particular emphasis on students interested in international affairs and travel. We provide students with resources to assist them in learning about and traveling to other countries and in the United States, and meeting people from around the world. Additionally, the MIC puts on its own programs and co-sponsors other programs all with an international focus. The MIC houses travel books, travel brochures and maps, international newspapers and magazines, study abroad materials and atlases. We have several computers to provide access to international newspapers, the Internet, the IRC website and e-mail. There is also a big screen TV available for viewing international news, holding international film events and for use by various organizations hosting events. | PERMIAS is the Indonesian Student Association at the UO. We promote the awareness of Indonesian cultures and acts as a liaison between Indonesian students and the consulate of the Republic of Indonesia. We also participate in Pormiwor, a traditional sporting event that is held every year for Indonesian students in the Pacific Northwest, and sponsor an annual Indonesian Culture Night.

| The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered, Queer Alliance provides a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for students and others to explore and understand their sexuality. We plan social and educational programs, offer resources and referrals, and build coalitions with other student groups in order to fight discrimination on all levels.

| The Oregon Student Public Interest Research Group offers opportunities for UO students to volunteer and intern for an organization that is concerned with issues concerning the environment, higher education and poverty. Some of our main goals include teaching and training students to be leaders and to provide community service by disseminating information or volunteering.

| Species Equality Through Action educates students, faculty and the community about problems concerning the treatment of non-human animals. Our primary goal is to educate the community on different forms of animal exploitation, including animal research, consumption of animal products and blatant animal abuse of any kind. Outreach consists of tabling, demonstrations, vigils, video showings, speakers, dialogue, media and much more.

| Founded in the early 1970s, the Survival Center is an umbrella organization geared towards the education of the campus community around issues of social justice and environmentalism. The center is open to the concerns of students, and works to empower its members to help their voices be heard. The center sponsors rallies and teach-ins, hosts guest speakers and promotes public forums for discussion.

| The Muslim Student Association is comprised of a wide variety of students coming from different cultural backgrounds who have all enjoyed learning from each other. We coordinate academic, social, and cultural activities with the goal of improving understanding of Islamic culture. MSA does not limit its potential to share religious faith and cultural complexity to the group. Group members have organized several religious events and have cooperated with the Eugene Middle East Peace Group, a local peace activists' group, to provide the community with a better understanding of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and how to promote peace in the region. | The Women's Center is a community of women dedicated to creating social change through diverse perspectives in educational endeavors and social events. The center provides information and drop-in referral services for academic resources, counseling, legal assistance, childcare, financial aid, sexual violence, safety and women's health. The center also houses the Relational Leadership Program, the Sexual Wellness Advocacy Team, Students For Choice and the Assault Prevention Shuttle.
